Edelweiss is one of the oldest brokers in India and has been around since internet trading was made available to retail traders in India. Hence, they know the needs of this internet-savvy generation and provide useful technology for them to benefit from it. They also have very good reach across India as they have more than 4300 sub-brokers.
That being said, they do charge a significantly high account opening and maintenance fee from their clients as well as charging very high brokerage, needless to say which can be lowered in this highly competitive market. Also note that their brokerage plans can be quite complex and investment in IPOs can be troublesome.
